About our Flute Choir
Our flute choir consists of various instruments in the flute family. This combination could create a distinct tonality, and manifest the uniqueness of flute timbre through specially arranged repertoire. Through public performances, we hope to reinforce the beauty of music appreciation as well as strengthening our members’ competence in flute playing.
SFC was established in 2002 by a group of flute enthusiasts who possess a sound standard of performance in the public. We actively perform in many occasions, including a fundraising activity in the Government House in 2003. We are happy to offer a wide genre to the public for enjoyment.

We are honoured to have Mr. Robert Hagstroem to compose a 2-movement piece of music (Allegretto and Vivace) dedicated to our flute choir.

Robert Hagstroem was born in Stockholm, Sweden and now resides in nearby Trangsund. He began his career as a professional musician in the age of fourteen. He was a clarinettist with several Swedish orchestras and later on, a soloist and conductor. Tours in Scandinavia, Europe and Asia. He is also working as a pedagogue. As a composer he has completed approximately 50 various productions. His works covers a large area, everything from chamber music to symphonies. Robert Hagstroem's music is often characterized as new Romanticism.
